Hello fellow Seekers!
This is my first blog post ever...I'm excited and a bit nervous at the same time. Writing is something that I've started to love over the last few months since I started the journey of my life's purpose.
To start off let me answer the question "Who is Jimena QuiƱones?"...
Jimena has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering who worked in different companies in various positions for 10 years. Her future looked very bright in the company she was working for, Jimena enjoyed what she did and was good at what she did though she felt there might be something more. In 2010 she had a business trip that changed the course of her life. During the flight back home there was a lot of turbulence and people started to get scared. In the midst of this Jimena had a thought, "Are you happy?" and her response came quite fast, "No.". At that moment the answer frightened her more than the turbulence. She definitely did not want to die without being happy. That experience in 2010 marked a journey towards a life with more meaning, more purpose and with this a happier life.
After the incident Jimena took a look at her present as well as her past. She started asking questions like "What moments during my life have I been happy?" "How did those moments differ from all other moments?". Doing this aided her to realize that she was not fulfilling her destiny. After a lot of soul searching and self-discovery she felt guided by her heart and mind in unison towards a spiritual practice called ThetaHealing where she has taken the Basic, Advanced and Instructor Courses. Another important step that she felt was crucial to prepare herself was studying an Associated Degree in Mind-Body Transformational Psychology from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) which she will graduate in Jan 2016. Jimena knew if she wanted to fulfill her destiny she had to prepare herself well and continue on the path of self-discovery and self-actualization.
She believes that our inner most desire is to live a life of purpose and the acknowledgment of this can come through an experience like hers or through conscious self-discovery. Her mission in life is to help generate the need and a awareness for self-discovery by teaching, engaging, guiding through belief work, coaching and spiritual practice.
If you find yourself somewhere in this story, seeking for that something, visit Jimena's blog often for tips, articles, course dates, etc.
Until next time...live passionately every moment of your life!
